This October, I’m packing up a collection of bold new work and bringing Boissevain Art to Brisbane for the very first time.

For six days only, La Trobe Artspace in Paddington will be transformed by colour, texture and a little creative unpredictability. This exhibition has been a long time in the making, and I’m enormously excited to finally share it.

New work. New city. No holding back.

I work instinctively and uninhibited. Experimentation is my friend. I embrace the unconventional, explore the unknown and allow each artwork to evolve through its own layers and processes.

Every piece begins with texture and mark-making, creating an interesting surface on which the painting process can unfold. Mixed media, saturated colour and multiple layers are brought together before the work is completed with my signature glass-like resin finish.

The result is a collection of bold contemporary artworks with depth, luminosity and a captivating presence.

The Brisbane exhibition will feature a diverse selection of entirely new, original pieces—from substantial statement works to long, narrow panels, diptychs, triptychs and smaller works. Some are unapologetically vibrant; others reveal their complexities more slowly. Each has been created in my Cairns studio and will be available to experience in person for the first time.

An invitation to experience the work up close

Artwork changes when you stand in front of it. Details emerge, surfaces shift and light travels through the resin in ways a photograph simply cannot capture.

100% Instant Deduction on Art Purchases Up to $20,000 This Financial Year! Great news for small businesses! Displayed in a Business Premises: The primary purpose of the artwork should be for display in a business setting. *Boissevain Art stands behind the application of this tax deduction for art purchases but advises all buyers to seek their own taxation advice.  Art can create a welcoming and inspiring environment.
