I connected to iefje’s art and this specific piece in a very personal way. It took me to my childhood when life was simple and there was just family, fun and friends. I am mesmerised by the materials used, the gorgeous combination of texture, layers, metals and resin, resulting in a glossy rich finish. I look at it every day and love it more and more.

We first stumbled upon iefje’s art work while window shopping in Cairns. With a couple of ‘reno jobs’ coming up, we were looking for interesting, different pieces of art. iefje without hesitation offered to come to our apartment, check out the setting and recommend the style of the two items we were looking for. iefje then created four works for us to view and choose. As we couldn’t decide (no pressure) we took all four. Two now proudly hang in the apartment in Cairns and two in Geelong. They are always a talking point for our visitors and we love our, one- off individual, unique pieces.

I am the very proud owner of four wonderful pieces of artwork by iefje Boissevain. Three of these pieces are beautiful resin pieces of work. These take pride of place in our home and they are the first things guests comment on when arriving. iefje was wonderful to work with and as we lived remotely she made the purchase and transport of the art an effortless process. I have been a regular client of Underart Gallery in Cairns since 2009. Over the years I have purchased numerous smaller pieces of iefje’s artwork which are unique and often receive comments. In 2019 I commissioned iefje to create a trilogy for my new home. I was impressed with the personalised service and commend iefje’s efforts to ensure these pieces were exactly what I wanted, with size and colours. The quality and promptness of her work exceeded my expectations.
